Jess Shirley

Jess Shirley is currently working on a photographic study of people in their twilight years aged 80 years and over who live in residential and independent living situations within the Nelson/Tasman area of New Zealand.

Independent and dependent living in the twilight years.    

The purpose of this photographic research project is to learn more about the experience and thoughts of people aged 80 years old and over living in supported and independent living situations as they go through the twilight years of their life. The objective is to create photographs that encapsulate their emotions and experience, supported by their own words.
